A roof box that no longer fits your car is not scrap. Most of what comes through our door has years of life left in it, and we would rather put it back on the road than watch it go to the dump. That is the whole idea behind the trade-in.
The five steps

Bring it directly to us in Hooksett, or email a few clear photos if you would like an estimate before making the trip. Shots of the shell from both sides, the lid open, and the mounting hardware tell us most of what we need.
2. Quick evaluation
We look at condition, brand and model, then give you a quote reference number so you know what to expect. Having that number in hand means no surprises when you arrive.
3. In-person confirmation
When the box is in front of us we do a hands-on inspection. The final value can shift slightly depending on what we find, but we will always tell you why. Transparent and fair beats a number we cannot stand behind.
4. Apply your credit
The credit goes straight onto a new or used box that day. No waiting period, no cheque in the mail, no store card to keep track of.
5. Upgrade with confidence

What actually moves the number
People are often surprised by which things matter and which do not. In rough order of impact:
- Working locks and a full set of keys. This is the big one. A box with no keys needs a lock replacement before it can be resold, and that comes straight off the value.
- Intact mounting hardware. Original clamps, U-bolts and knobs are worth real money. Missing hardware is the second most common deduction.
- Seal and hinge condition. A dried-out gasket or a cracked hinge is repairable, but it is labour we have to account for.
- Shell integrity. Stress cracks around the mounting points matter. Scuffs and faded paint on the lid, honestly, barely register.
- Brand and model. Boxes from the well-known makers hold value because parts stay available for them.
Cosmetics matter far less than people expect. A scratched box that locks, seals and mounts properly is worth more than a pristine one with no keys.
What we generally cannot take
There are a few we have to turn down: shells with structural cracks through a mounting point, boxes where the lid no longer aligns with the base, and anything with water damage inside the shell wall. If you are unsure, send photos first and save yourself the drive.
You do not have to trade in to sell
If you have a box but no plans to buy another one, talk to us anyway. We buy outright as well, and it is the same evaluation either way.
